Kate joined Steve Chalke, Oasis; Gail MacDonald from Guys and St Thomas’; Helen Lees from ‘Friends of Archbishop’s Park; Kris Ensgov, Head of Starbucks Europe, Mark Fox, Head of Starbucks UK, and staff and students from Oasis Academy Southbank at the launch.

The community volunteering day took place in Archbishop’s Park, Lambeth.
It was a partnership event between Oasis and Starbucks.

For the third year in a row Starbucks staff from their head office worked with Oasis as part of their annual Global Month of Service.

A team of 150 Starbucks staff, supported by Oasis staff and community volunteers worked with Lambeth Council and the ‘Friends of Archbishop’s Park’ on a number of projects in the park. Volunteers built raised beds, bird boxes, bee hotels and more.

The day also marked the launch of Oasis Waterloo Hub’s Community Garden and Farm which will open later this year. The community garden and farm is being run in partnership with Guys and St Thomas’ charity, who have provided the land for the project and Jamie’s Farm.
